Bio
My real name is Sean Simpson, I'm a 20 year-old full-time hobbyist, soon-to-be-student living in Spokane, WA. I'm about as geek as you can get without being a computer programmer. I'm an avid gamer and spend most of my free time in front of the computer. If I'm not in front of my computer, I'm probably in front of the TV watching one of my many precious DVDs. Some friends tell me I might as well be a film student since my tastes are so picky, which may be true.
I'm also an avid writer and aspiring novellist. I started my amatuer journalism career at the fansite for a game called Deus Ex. That site was known as DXNation. There I served as a news poster and later an administrator before the site was sadly shut down. From there I migrated to another fansite called Planet Deus Ex, where I met many of my fellow staffers here. I eventually left the site to expand my horizons.
I started writing reviews for Previewed DVD and Lost Hours, the latter being a gaming column on the popular and respected movie news site, Coming Attractions (which has since merged with Cinescape). My stay at those sites would end when my good friend Sam "Ghandaiah" Shapiro (whom I met during my stay at PDX) and I decided to launch Force Monkeys, a web-comic hosted on Gamespy, which was recently shut down as well to start another, hopefully better comic soon. Not long ago I rejoined the staff at PDX as strictly a news poster as well.
Eventually I decided to get back into the regular reviewing gig and found myself at Stratos Group, a well respected gaming journalism site responsible for authoring the official guides and manuals for various games games like Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic, Ghost Recon and Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. I continue to review there as my primary gig and help out here at Augean Stables whenever I can. I hope that was entertaining for the lot of you. Though I'd be worried if it was.
